GAF has won the tender and been awarded the contract for a pilot project for the highly automated evaluation of satellite data for the monitoring of agricultural parcels. As part of the modernisation and simplification of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in the funding period after 2020, new procedures and the use of innovative technologies are planned. Within this framework, machine learning procedures and neural networks will be used, together with a large volume of Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and other suitable raster data (big data). This approach will be used for the evaluation and checking of crop types and agri-environmental and climate measures, and is intended to replace on-the-spot-checks (OTSC) in their present form in the long term.
GAF gewinnt Ausschreibung des Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Forsten zur „Automatisierten Auswertung von Satellitendaten“ – GAP2020
Die GAF erhält den Zuschlag für ein Pilotprojekt zur hochautomatisierten Auswertung von Satellitendaten für das Monitoring landwirtschaftlicher Flächen. Im Zuge der Modernisierung und Vereinfachung der Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik (GAP) in der Förderperiode nach 2020, sind neue Verfahren und der Einsatz innovativer Technologien vorgesehen. In diesem Rahmen werden auf Basis einer Vielzahl von Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 sowie weiteren geeigneten Rasterdaten (Big Data) Machine Learning Verfahren und neuronale Netze zur Anwendung gebracht. Diese übernehmen die Auswertung und Kontrolle von Kulturarten und Auflagen der Agrarumwelt- und Klimamaßnahmen (AUM) und sollen langfristig Vor-Ort-Kontrollen (VOK) in ihrer bisherigen Form ersetzen.
